MyLinks

MyLinks is available to those who sign in on the Systems 33 web site. You are welcome to create a login for yourself by clicking the [Log In] link in the upper right corner of the page. Please use your correct e-mail address - it will not be disclosed to any third party. I've not yet setup account maintenance for e-mail, but that is on the way.

MyLinks is a grid of cells. Each cell has a header, a bullet list of links, and a distinct row/column location in the grid layout. The grid may be as wide or tall as the user wishes, but there are practical limits. The cells will size themselves based on their content.

Below the table grid will be an "Edit" button for turning on Edit Mode. When the grid is in edit mode each tag will link to an edit form where you can:

  • Edit the tag name and link
  • Move tag up in the list (if not at the top)
  • Move tag down in the list (if not at the bottom)
  • Move tag up a cell to the bottom of its list (if not in the top row)
  • Move tag down a cell to the bottom of its list (if not in the bottom row)
  • Move tag right a cell to the bottom of its list (if not in the rightmost column)
  • Move tag left a cell to the bottom of its list (if not in the leftmost column)
  • Delete tag
Also, hovering the mouse over a link will present a drop down menu for moving the link in its list or to a neighboring cell.

While in edit mode the cell header will present a menu for their edits as well:

  • Edit cell header
  • Insert a row of cells above
  • Insert a row of cells below
  • Insert a column of cells to the left
  • Insert a column of cells to the right
  • Swap cell with ajoining cell above (if not in the top row)
  • Swap cell with ajoining cell below (if not in the bottom row)
  • Swap cell with ajoining cell to the left (if not in the leftmost column)
  • Swap cell with ajoining cell to the right (if not in the rightmost column)

Additionally, in Edit Mode, the representation of an empty tag will be presented in each empty cell or at the bottom of any tag list for the creation of a new tag. Correspondingly, a grid will be a minimum of 1x1 and the one cell, or all of them, may be empty.

Currently, you must delete all the tags before a cell can be deleted. If the last cell in a row or column is deleted then it will colapse down automatically.
